Terms of use
Last updated 5 November 2026
Plain terms for a small app. Installing or using Catastif means these apply. If you don't agree with them, don't use the app.
Using the app
You may use Catastif on the devices your Apple Account allows, for your own use. Don't take it apart to republish it, sell it on, or ship it as part of something else. The app, its design and its artwork belong to us. Apple's standard license for apps applies too.
What you put in it
Your lists and everything on them are yours. They stay on your devices and in your own iCloud, and we never see them (the privacy policy says how). You're responsible for what you write down.
Lists you share
When you share a list, the people you invite can see it, add to it, change it and tick things off. Share with people you trust, and only what you're happy for them to see. You can stop sharing at any time, and anyone you invited can leave. Sharing goes through iCloud, so Apple's terms for iCloud apply to it.
Amounts and conversions
Catastif reads amounts from what you type or say, and converts them for you. Weights and volumes convert exactly; spoons and cups become grams through a typical weight for the ingredient, which is why those are marked ≈. Check a recipe that needs precision against its own measures.
Tips
Catastif is free. A tip is a one-time in-app purchase that says thank you: it unlocks nothing beyond the Hero badge, and it is not a subscription, so nothing renews, nothing expires and there's nothing to cancel.
A tip follows your Apple Account, so restoring purchases in Settings brings the badge back on a new device. Payment, receipts and refunds are handled entirely by Apple: we can't take money and can't refund it. To ask for a refund, use reportaproblem.apple.com. Prices are shown by the App Store in your own currency and can change.
What we don't promise
The app is provided as it is. We do our best to keep it working and your lists safe, but we can't promise it will be free of faults, or that it will keep working on future versions of iOS, iPadOS, macOS or watchOS. Nothing here takes away rights you have under the consumer law where you live.
As far as the law allows, our liability for anything to do with the app is limited to what you paid for it.
Changes and ending
These terms may change, and the date at the top will move when they do. You can end them at any time by deleting the app.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the publisher's country of residence, without affecting your rights as a consumer where you live.
